STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Our Student Experience team located at the Student Help Desk is available with relevant information, flyers, posters and contact numbers to help or direct you to the appropriate area for help and advice on our range of services:
- Counselling support
- Accommodation providers and transport services related information
- Free Wi-Fi on campus;
- Free access to thousands of books, journals and publications from various Lincoln University College (LUC) libraries through the Learning Management System (LMS)
- A safe and secure campus with access restricted to students and staff only with campus under cc camera monitoring at all times
- Sondersafe app for all staff and students
- Improving your English or entry course standards with free (or at a small fee) additional English coaching services on-campus
- Arranging an appointment with any of our academic staff members
- Subsidised food, drinks, printing, copying, sporting and wellbeing facilities on-campus or at nearby facilities
- Fully air-conditioned and acoustically designed classrooms with the latest technology including audio and video presentation facilities
- Ergonomically designed tables and chairs
- E-library and computer lab facilities with the latest hardware and software
- Support for financial and medical hardship with temporary loans and additional medical support upon request
- Support for all ethnic and cultural mentoring by third party counselling services and /or relevant community group support
- Additional lectures and training by industry-based experts and projects
- Scholarships to students through LIHE funding and by community for high achievers and community service-oriented projects
- Student and staff participation in community functions and events for interaction with various communities
- Emergency clothing, blanket or other provisions to students in emergency situations
- IT help desk
- Access and support for book and journal publications of articles by students in both LIHE and LUC organisations
- Student events and seminars for additional coaching and training and to provide access to subject expert interactions
- Alumni activities
- Career advice support services.
